Fabulous Coastal Cycling Adventures

Category Newsletter: Article 4

Mountain biking and cycling  are one of the most popular  forms of exercise today as it is accessible to people of all ages and families and it is a great way to enjoy the outdoors, farmlands, forests and the beaches. Ballito and its surrounds is no exception.

Mountain biking has been on offer at Sugar Rush Park for several years now and it also caters for children through the Sugar Rats Academy. However additional cycle adventure options on Fat Bikes are also on offer in soft terrain areas and this will be attractive to both locals and visitors alike.

Pedal Africa offers Fat Bike Tours and one such amazing trail is located in and around Prince’s Grant Estate, about 25 minutes north of Ballito. The trail goes through sugar cane, onto the beautiful beach and also through the forest alongside the lagoon. These guided Fat Bike beach, forest and lagoon rides are offered by Pedal Africa from Prince’s Grant and include the options to explore areas around Blythedale, Zinkwazi, Tinley Manor, Christmas Bay, Mtunzini, Amatikulu and Isimangaliso. These rides provide a perfect opportunity to see more of the North Coast’s majestic coastline.
