National Brands Open at The Lifestyle Centre

Category Newsletter: Article 2

Prior to the opening of The Junction Regional Mall in March this year The Ballito Lifestyle Centre was the dominant retail outlet in Ballito for over 13 years. With the renovations and new offerings that will be completed by December, The Lifestyle Centre is once again about to differentiate itself and be a distinctly different retail outlet.

At the end of August several new brands which has previously not been available in Ballito opened at Lifestyle Centre. These included Chateau Gateaux Patisserie, Sportsman’s Warehouse, ToyZone, a new generation Dis-Chem store, and for the first time ever in KZN -  Melissa’s incorporating both a food store and coffee shop.  Another top brand still to open is Baby City.

Additionally a permanent artisanal food market will also be housed in the Lifestyle Centre as well as several up-market restaurants. Construction is now reaching the final stages creating an area to house Lupa, Mythos, Salsa, and Mo’s Noodles restaurants. There is also talk that there will also be a Gin bar and Gin distillery as well as a Craft Brewery that focuses on quality, hand crafted beers.

Planning to reposition the Lifestyle Centre took the better part of 18 months and the estimated costs for the redevelopment is about R80 million. The renewed vision will offer a great selection of stores to be enjoyed in a unique outdoor environment together with easy access and convenient and free parking. It appears that the Ballito Lifestyle Centre is well on its way to becoming a stand out development once again.
