Having undergone a strategic partnership change in the latter half of 2018 in which the original License area was split, the re-focused area incorporates amongst others the towns of Ballito, Umhlali, Salt Rock, Sheffield Beach, Tinley Manor, Blythedale, KwaDukuza and Zinkwazi. Whilst Residential Sales and Rentals have always been a core focus, the company has also transitioned into the Commercial and Agricultural spaces which are a large part of the local real estate market.
Tim Johnson - Principal and Director
Born and raised on the North Coast as a part of the well-known Ladlau family who previously owned and farmed what is now Simbithi Eco Estate, Tim completed his studies at Kearsney College and then ventured further afield to complete a Bachelor's Degree at Rhodes University in Grahamstown. With a passion for Advertising and Marketing, cultivated after some hard-earned experience, Tim formed his own Brand Consultancy in Johannesburg specialising in Property and Destination Marketing. With over 8 years in the game, and with a string of Golf Estates, Property Developments, Hotels and Restaurants under his belt, Tim decided to move back to the North Coast with his family in 2010 to seek a balanced lifestyle and pursue other opportunities. Tim's return to the Ballito area coincided with Seeff's planned expansion and re-structuring process and the opportunity arose to become a part of this growing local company. Having gained a significant amount of experience in Sales and Marketing in the Property industry, Tim's skills have been utilized to manage and grow the Sales Team and Developer/Estate relationships as well as lead the marketing and innovation strategies. Tim serves on the Seeff National Marketing Committee and has been involved in various National innovation and strategic structures. Tim adds a youthful energy and passion to the team and loves the day to day challenges and opportunities that the property industry presents.
Mark Johnson - Managing Director
The unique experience of growing up in a rural trading store environment between the battlefields of Isandlawana and Rorke’s Drift and being fluent in isiZulu, enabled Mark to carve a niched professional career in a changing South Africa. After a year in the USA and three years at University,
Mark spent fourteen years in the Sugar Industry on the North Coast before moving to Johannesburg to join the largest face-to-face communications company in Africa. After several years of interfacing with large corporate companies Mark turned his focus to Consulting in the Private and Public sector during the birth of South Africa's democracy. He developed and facilitated Leadership Programmes for executive and middle management that were relevant to the "new South Africa" as well as facilitating Strategic and Organizational Development processes for large Corporate and Public Sector organizations. Primarily focusing on "transformation" and "global competitiveness". When approached in 2009 to invest in Seeff, Mark jumped at the opportunity to put his Strategic and People Development experience and passion for property into practice and has not looked back since. He has served on the Seeff National Board as Chairman of the KZN Region and is still actively involved in strategic planning.
